Animorphs: The Solution

2015 went out with a bang, and we managed to put out 5 episodes… Nowhere near as good as 2014’s staggering nineteen episodes, but ’15 was a very busy year for us here. Point is, 2016 is a brand new year and there’s no way we can do worse than 5 episodes! (Knock on wood, if there’s any nearby.) I’m just glad we’ve finally made it through the David Trilogy. This latest episode is the grand finale, and boy what a treat! This is the K.A. Applegate-duo at their sharpest. Everything that happens between Rachel, the rest of the team, and David is shockingly dark and mature for what is billed as a “children’s book series.” If for some odd reason you haven’t read the trilogy, do yourself a favor. Read David’s story. You’ll see why a bunch of 20-somethings still obsess over this series today.

This speak:  As usual, we discuss in deep detail, like way too much detail, the cover illustration and the blurb on the back of the book, in-depth character discussions on Rachel and David,  how David takes the ‘Michael Meyers’ approach to stalking the team, everyone getting “CHAOS MORPHS”, Visser Tony’s brief cameo this book, our suggestions and ideas for how they could have made David work as an Animorph, the fate of poor cousin Saddler, and of course the poor fate of David, and Coleman’s proposal for a more humane way to end the David situation that would have had David in a much better place. All that and more in our review of Animorphs #22, The Solution.
